For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, "The Promoter" refers to Centre for Women’s Justice. The "Prize" refers to one (1) copy of the book Sister in Law: Fighting for Justice in a System Designed by Men by Harriet Wistrich.
The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over except employees of Centre for Women’s Justice, their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisations or judging of the competition.
By entering the competition you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. All entries must be received by 6pm (BST) on Thursday 2 May 2024. After this date no further entries to the competition will be permitted. Three (3) winners in the United Kingdom will be selected at random by The Promoter on Friday 3 May 2024 and they will be notified on or after this date.
Route to entry for the competition and details of how to enter are via the Centre for Women’s Justice Instagram and X (Twitter) accounts.
There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
Each entrant shall enter the competition via Instagram or X by following @centrewj on Instagram or X and liking the competition post from Monday 29 April 2024.
The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
The Promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
The prize is as stated, and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prize is not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability, and The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
The winners will be chosen at random by software, from all entries received and verified by The Promoter and/or its agents.
The winners will be notified by direct message within 28 days of the closing date. If any of the winners cannot be contacted or do not claim their prize within 14 days of notification, The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw their prize and pick a replacement winner.
The Promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
The winners agree to the use of their name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winners or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent. The purpose of collecting the winner’s personal data is to process the delivery of the prize to the address provided by the winner when they are advised they have won the promotion. By sharing their address, the winner agrees to these terms.
Any personal data relating to the winners, or any other entrants will be stored for the duration of the contest. Entrants are entitled to view, amend or delete any personal information held by The Promoter. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
