Legal aid is generally for people in mental health detention who want to make applications to the Mental Health Tribunal, which is unlikely to be relevant for VAWG cases. However, if you want to see whether a solicitor specialising in mental health can assist can assist with a particular issue use the following:

This is a directory of all solicitors with a legal aid contract around the country – enter the town or postcode and tick “mental health”.
There is no financial eligibility test for mental health legal aid, if the issue is in scope for legal aid.
